2007 CIIM Canada Entrepreneurial Award of Excellence - Female

Teresa Cascioli Teresa Cascioli Charitable Foundation Teresa was born in Hamilton, Ontario. After graduating from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1983, she began her career in the public sector. From April, 1999 to April 2007, Ms. Cascioli was the Chief Executive Officer of Lakeport Brewing. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Brewers Association of Canada.

For the past four years, Profit & Chatelaine Magazines placed Teresa in the Top 10 list of Canada's most successful women entrepreneurs. This year, she ranked third. In 2004, Teresa was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in the Turnaround Category and in 2006, she was once again a finalist. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce recognized Lakeport in the category of Outstanding Business Achievement in 2004. In 2005, Teresa was inducted into the Sales Hall of Fame by the Canadian Professional Sales Association. In 2006, Teresa was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Canada's Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. As well, Profit Magazine ranked Lakeport amongst Canada's Fastest Growing Companies.

Lakeport was sold to Labatt Brewing in March this year. Teresa is now fully involved in the Teresa Cascioli Charitable Foundation which was established to give back to her home community in the areas of education and health.
